Thread: Sly Cooper Thread

Nope, I will never consider TiT's story canon.

Agreed. To me it's non-canon as long it's not concluded. If they don't continue TiT, I feel like it shouldn't have been made. Sly 3 had a great ending. Then TiT bounced it, ruined that ending and didn't even bother to conclude it. It's quite essential to conclude your story when you don't plan to continue it. It's called closure.

That's just one of many things TiT's writers didn't think through.

Imagine you had to choose between the Trilogy or Thieves in Time. What would you choose?

The Trilogy for more than one reason.

Certainly trilogy.

Trilogy. What about this… a remake of the entire trilogy with the in-game (so not the cutscenes) artstyle from TiT? I call it: ''heaven''.

Carmelita’s publicist wanted to clarify she will not be appearing in Zootopia. However, Murray said he was open to a cameo in Finding Dory.

And they mention that because…?

I finished Sly 3. And it was pretty good. I guess it was a fitting end to the PS2 Trilogy, and now I can see the completely direct link this game has with Thieves in Time.

I don't think I will buy Thieves in Time though.

Well TiT's got it's strong and weak points.

The good:
- the game's fun
- hub worlds are nicely designed
- return of collectibles (bootles, tresures)
- you mostly play as Sly and his ancestors (who usually play pretty much like Sly)
- some comstumes and antestors' special abilities can add to the gameplay
- the cartoonish artstyle is great
- return of the original voice cast (well, one character got a new voice, you can guess who)
- the soundtrack IT KICKS ASS!

The bad:
- the game's really, really easy and there's no challenge mode
- the story is forced
- a 'shocking' plot twist in the fourth episode I know I already said about a forced story, but this annoys me so much I had to give it a seperate point
- if not Sonic Boom, I'd say it's the worst written game in it's genere in past few years (food jokes make half of the game's humour)
- there's not much new stuff (just "bigger, better, next-gen"emoji
- the loading times

I have played Thieves in Time, although I was really rushing it and was running out of time on the PS+ trial. It all went by in a blur, and playing the original Trilogy has helped me get a better idea on how I feel about these games.

I like them. And from what you're saying, Thieves in Time sounds like a good successor in the gameplay and visuals department.

I'm also guessing Carmeleta has yet another voice actor? Because her voice really threw me off in Sly 3.

Yeah, now she's got an obnoxious spanish accent, though to be honest, her acting is the best:

I think it's better than her first and third voice…

Well, I said her acting is the best, and yeah, it's better. Would've been even better if the character wasn't screwed up by the writers.

Eh, I'd say Sly 2's Carmelita was better.
