Thread: The Hardest Skill Points to Achieve in Ratchet and Clank

I assume most of us would do our best to achieve all of the Skill Points in each Ratchet and Clank game. In your own opinion, what do you think are the most difficult Skill Points to achieve in each Ratchet and Clank title?

In the first Ratchet and Clank, "Tricky" and "Alien Invasion" is probably the most difficult in the game. For "Tricky", you pretty much need to know the Twisty McMarx trick to pull off this skill point perfectly. As for "Alien Invasion", using the visibomb to take down the Blarg Ships is were you need to use the weapon at the right spot and good aiming to get this particular skill point.

In Going Commando, I would have to say "Nano to the Max" just because the Nano Tube in planet Dobbo is probably the most difficult one to get in the game. I've managed to obtain it, but it requires a lot of practice to get it for that particular skill point.

In Up Your Arsenal, There weren't too many difficult skill points in the game but I think the most challenging ones would have to be "Stay Squeaky Clean" or any of the "Set a New Record for Qwark" skill points.

In Tools of Destruction, I think any Skill Points that involves any ship battles such as Verigris Black Hole and Rakar Star Cluster were the most challenging (or even impossible) ones to complete just because the controls were just hectic when it comes to shooting enemies down or trying not to get yourself hurt.

I am not sure what is/are the most difficult Skill Point(s) to achieve in A Crack in Time, so I may have to go to it and see which ones are the most challenging in that game in particular. Same goes with Ratchet: Deadlocked too.

Hmm there are so many skill points but I do remember really having trouble getting them for the Hoverboard challenges! I had to get my brother to do those, and he got them quickly XD (always been better than me with racing games, heh)

I'll need to rethink what other skillpoints I remember having trouble with, has been a while since I played the games.

The five "set a new record for Qwark" skill points in UYA. I could NEVER do those. (

the "fast and the fireous" skill point in ToD DROVE… ME… INSANE… good thing i was born that way. but it was SO HARD. I tried for hours until the game gave it to me for no reason. maybe the flaming percy statues had the slightest amount of pity? XD Jk he would watch the lombax burn.

Yeah, I got that skill point for no reason too…

But I'm sure the last statue is proximity activated, meaning it's technically impossible to get past it without stopping.

In Up Your Arsenal, There weren't too many difficult skill points in the game but I think the most challenging ones would have to be "Stay Squeaky Clean" or any of the "Set a New Record for Qwark" skill points.

To be honest stay squeaky clean isn't too hard in r&c 3 (in your case up your arsenal) but set a new record for qwark is f**king impossible

At one point, I had 29 out of the 30 skill points in UYA; the only one I hadn't got was "Set A New Record For Qwark" on the fifth and final vid-comic. I just could not get it done in time at all! But then, I started a new save file in a separate save slot, and the fifth vid-comic was the only one that I could beat the skill point! So, now knowing that I was able to achieve the skill point properly, I went back to my original save file, at the time, I was too tired to focus on the game, and couldn't even complete the vid-comic, let alone beat the record! So I decided to go back to it the following morning. When I did so, the save file had been corrupted and I lost everything! And to this day, I still don't know what the "Skill Master" trophy in the Starship Phoenix's trophy room looks like!

Yeah, squeaky clean wasn't much of a problem, but I just can't set a new record in Deja Q (fourth vid-comic). I got all the others, but that one is well annoying….. generally I'm lucky if I beat that in less than 10mins
