Thread: Your thoughts on these species...

I've mentioned before in a recent topic that the Hoolefoids are pretty much the most underrated species in the Ratchet and Clank franchise. Sure, they have only have appeared in one game, but it seems like they were just completely forgotten right away once you've completed this game.

But moving on, I just want to know what are your thoughts about these guys? Do they look cool or just okay? And don't worry, you won't be judge for what you think about these guys.

To know who I am talking about, here are a couple of pictures to what the Hoolefoids look like…



An out of the blue topic to talk about, I know. But hey… at least there's something to talk about in the Quest For Booty section.

they sorta reminds me of piranhas for some reason maybe it's cause of thier mouths but I think they look cool

Well I thought they were an interesting race too, and their designs are neat at least their species has a name! Unlike many others from the PS2 games, like Skidd's race, Al's race, and even the Plumber's race.

there are lots of underrated species in the games, I even thought Markazians were for a while too but now that the comics have come, well they've been given a lot more attention XD

well if the Markazians get to be seen again a very very long time later then why not the Hoolefoids? But remember that the Hoolefoids dont want to be known.
One thing i will never forgive was all the helpful info we got on the Drophyds! (being sarcastic) I loved those guys! And they had some interesting history! Then after Tools of Destruction they were just forgotten. Not even a mention in ACiT?

If you play QfB, before you get energy to the Island the Hoolefoids treat you like trash, calling you fuzzbal and inssulting you: one of the best examples is one of the storys that you can hear that says: He defeated Tachyon with many health problems or something like that. And then, when you return to energy to the Island: "Hey look it's the Hoolefar hero."

They seem pretty harmless to me, infact the sound rather nice. I mean everything the Barnibus does and says is often times friendly. They are also rather polite.

Have you forgotten lord vorselon! He is a drophyd… one of the reasons i think that is the fact of him coming from planet zaurik/saurik (don't know how it's written) wich is the drophyds home planet…

I certainly remember seeing/hearing something that said he was a Terraklon Assassin.

Yep, Lord Vorselon was a Terraklon from Terraklon VI, he lost his body in a fight against the drophyds on their home planet, Zaurik. So he instead has his mechanical body, and his head in a jar, similar to the drophyds. :oui:

Drophyds also get a mention in A4O, when Mr Dinkles disappears and he leaves a recipie for drophyd stew.
