Thread: Really Random thread

Just found this, please take notes Sly Cooper.

EDIT: Just tried out Playstation Now, I think it's safe to say that it's one of the worst things to ever grace the earth

Alright, Daekstar. What's up? You're the first I hear complain. Most of the time people tell me how silly I am for not having it.

I would never use PS Now. I'm not exaggerating, or reconsidering at all. I would never, ever use it.

Buying a game at a retail store is all fine and well because you will have a copy of the game on CD, DVD, Bu-ray or some sort of flash memory device. Buying a game from PSN, XBL or Steam is also fine in my books because you get to have that game in its entirety installed on your HDD… except if you loose it you can probably just re-download it as long at the service you brought it on is still active and distributing that product. Of course a downside is that hard drives aren't as easy to swap between units as discs are. Either way you have a physical copy of you game!

Streaming is not where I see games going… or at least not where I want to see them going. I mean it's all really great for Sony because they have 100% control over your game. If they decide you are not worthy to play the game they will just stop allowing you to use it. Much like how when their multiplayer servers are all overloading/people are not playing a certain game online much, they'll just shut it down.

It eliminates piracy, but it also eliminates modding and any amount of control we think we have over our game.

But the more immediate problem I see is that it's a rental service. I stopped renting games a long time ago, because just flat-out buying them has always been better value. And it isn't any cheaper than just going into town and renting a physical version of the game, so I think I can happily wait for this to pass by… if it does.

Moving the randomness here.

But it's always been here…

Here, there… Randomness is everywhere on RG emoji

Speaking of randomness, my new desktop has 2 icons on it, while my old one had about 45. I don't plan on putting any of them back, because BOY was that messy.

I did that to my computer desktop recently; I had a lot of icons all over the place and I couldn't find anything, so I tidied it up so that the only two icons on my desktop are "Recycle Bin" and a folder named "Desktop Shortcuts", which contains all the other previous icons…

Mine just has the recycle bin and Game Maker. I also have Google Chrome pinned to the start bar, so I'm pretty much set. Should I need any other programs, I would just search for them. I use things like MS Word, but only really for opening documents, and I pretty much always have at least one open, so I'll just open a new one through that.

I recently cleaned up my desktop too. It was mostly unzipped files that I was too lazy to put anywhere else, now I just have the default icons, Steam, Skype and a folder for all the random stuff I had.
It's weird to look at if I'm going to be honest, but I rarely spend time on my desktop so it doesn't really matter that much

My desktop is entirely empty. I just have a few icons in the… the.. this is akward. I don't know what you call that thing. Taskbar?

That's usually what I call it. I have a few icons there, mostly some games and Chrome, but I only really use it when I'm feeling lazy… so I use it all the time.

148 icons.

My PC can only hold 136 icons, so I believe you are lying, sir.

It's called a 'Taakbalk' here. But that doesn't say much to you guys, except for: 'dafuq am I looking at?'.

And btw. Ruler, you start to sound like with with your PSN story.
