Thread: Really Random thread

I cant believe it's been another year already. It doesn't seem that long ago since RG had it's 6th birthday, I remember it like it was just yesterday. emoji

On a random note: This morning/afternoon it took 3 hours to turn my computer on… I really need to get this sorted out. In the meantime I'll just leave it constantly running.

Just assure us you are not exaggerating emoji

My old desktop took about 1,5. And then it still wouldn't work properly.

The power button has been having fits, and the computer hasn't been recognising a 'turn on' command so well.

The power supply is all good, but somewhere between it and the button there is a problem. I've had a look at it, and everything points towards the panel at the front of the computer. Too bad this machine was not built to be particularly user friendly so I'd run a great risk damaging something, trying to get at it.

There doesn't appear to be much consistency to when the power button works or not. Previously when it wouldn't turn on I could unplug the power chord and wait until the light flickers (probably indicating it's all outta juice) before trying it again, at which point it would turn on. But today it was giving way more trouble than normal.

The hardware is pretty old, and inferior by today's standards anyway, so I've arranged a replacement a while ago… too bad my replacement computer has a faulty CPU.

EDIT: Oh, and I'm not exaggerating, it was at least 3 hours. Nearly drove me mad.

Yeah… that surpasses my fairly simple basic ICT knowledge. Good luck anyway, guess it's best to have it repaired. Better make copies of everything that's on your hardrive, they usually empty the entire thing without warning.

[I'm quoting the post with all the computer technobabble]

What exactly was wrong with the CPU of the replacement? Is there definitely no way to fix it? If not, shouldn't the replacement have had a warranty?

Am I the only one that thinks that Jak & Daxter and Ellie and Joel aren't returning?

Jak and Daxter has been receiving some rather peculiar attention from ND.
There are plans for a TLoU movie.

Welp, I think we're done here.

There is a way to repair it. I know a couple of people that could do it for me, so I'll try to rope them into this.

And it doesn't have a warranty because the entire computer was custom built by a person who gave it to a person who gave it to me… but it was all free!

On the topic of Jak and Daxter: I don't care about a Jak movie. In fact I'd be opposed to the idea at this point. All I want is a proper sequel.

Jak & Daxter is curious. But I don't think that Jak 4 will ever hit the stores. Neither do I think that TLoU movie is going to be a sequel but rather a movie version of the game. When TLoU 2 is made, it will probably not star Ellie and Joel. At least, I know I wouldn't.

As I mentioned earlier, Jak movie is, or will be in the works, as long as they didn't scrap the project - it was leaked by a company that is financing Ratchet and Sly movies back in 2012.

So… it's still 'can be' then?

It's pretty much sure it was greenlighted back then, but seeing how much interest did Ratchet and Sly movies get lately, it's rather 'will be'.

if you're sure it was greenlighted back then, they should have a contract already. Wether Sly/Ratchet/Heavenly Sword will be a succes or not… unless that's a part of the contract too.
