I know that 3D tv is coming some time ^^

I highly doubt that - not much people can afford a 3D TV, and a lot of those who can don't think it's worth buying.

At my place I ment. I need to get one for myself cause my mother think's it's stupid. 3Ds are like €200 to €350. It's decend, but I wanted to buy a PS4 first. Obvs.

I love 3D movies. I can spend an entire day watching them without headaches or feeling dizzy. The only thing that kicks in is the 'phantom touch'. That feel you get on the bridge of your nose when something is near it, but not yet touching. The 3D-glasses my sister has for her TV hover slightly above. After about 6 movies I started to feel it. But when am I ever gonna watch 6 3D movies in a row again? :P

Well, to me it's just a non-important gimmick- actually, I don't even remember when was the last time I watched a 3D movie in cinema, I always go on 2D.

Because we have 3 fairly small cinemas they only have 1 or 2 versions of the movie.

For animation:
- Original version + subs (3D)
- Dutch dub (3D)

Anything else:
- Original version + subs (3D)

So it's not even like I have a choice. Now we're on the 3D topic… I was at the Hunger Games Marathon of the midnight premiere of Mockingjay. We were put in the 'XD Experience' room which had the best chairs, sound and most curved screen. There was one thing I missed though… a pair of 3D glasses and a blurry screen. I wish they'd made the HG movies 3D.

Actually, I don't really like 3D movies. Because I wear glasses, and it's not comfortable when I have to wear two glasses at the same time. And if I only wear the 3D glasses, I can't see really well

Couldn't you just pull out the lenses of the 3D glasses and stick them against your current ones?

You seem to be a person with crazy imaginations, I presume? Hehehe emoji

What? That wouldn't work?

How am I supposed to return the 3D glasses when I already stuck the special lenses on my glasses?

Aaah, I see. We actually have to buy our own 3D glasses in advance. Cost about €1. My sister had like a hundred spread around her house, she always forgets to take them. emoji

I'm super glad that we have always had the option of watching the movies in 2D here. I wouldn't want to waste anymore money on 3D films (although if I were with a group that wanted to watch in 3D, I would never hold them back).

If we do watch a 3D movie we can usually bring our own glasses. But sometimes we can rent them for a small fee. The last 3D movie we saw, we forgot to bring glasses and had to buy new ones. And they are pretty overpriced, so our dad was a bit mad.

Speaking about 3D glasses, here if you want to watch a 3D movie in a cinema, a staff will give you the 3D glasses. After you have finished watching the movie, you'll have to return the glasses

We have that, but 4 times out of 5 you have to pay for the glasses (it depends on the cinema) even know you are just using them for one movie. Fortunately they aren't usually that expensive in these cases.

Did I mention there's no extra cost on 3D movies here ^^
We used to have 3 cinemas here. One with the glasses for €1, one that gives you the glasses en you returm them afterwards and mow theres a new one. Complete with IMAX. But since Hunger Games aren't 3D i'm not sure how it works there.

At least I will be able to watch the r&c movie in English instead of Dutch. The new cinema is a lot bigger and can have multiple versions of one movie. emoji

I have no idea what IMAX is.

Is The Hunger Games really the only "Exclusively 2D film" that is in your cinemas? Because the last time I checked ours (few months ago) only half the movies were 3D, and they all had the option for 2D.

Really, never heard of it? Back in the day, these were the only ones with 3D movies.

Luckily it's the same here. I don't like to be forced to watch in 3D.
