I'd rather have it be a more traditional fighting game like MvC3.
As it is, it's a poor man's Smash Bros.
Worse music, worse roster, worse stages, worse graphics, worse way of killing enemies and a very steep learning curve.
If it was an actual fighting game and it retained mechanics like the supers and the items, I think people would give it a little more credit.

Worse music

Oh man, I still can't get over the fact they didn't use an actual LocoRoco track in Franzea…

Or an LBP track in the Gardens… or a god damn custom soundtrack like Smash Bros…

If it were I would gladly have skipped it. It was about time someone made a Smash clone that lives up to being one. I prefer beating people up and give them a high percentage to slap them out of the field over using Supers. But it makes a pretty tense match.
While in SSB. I always take the Final Destination, in AllStars I can choose whatever stage I like since they all play fairly the same (and yes. I know about the FD option in de new SSB. which pleases me most).
The roster is really small compared to Smash Bros. but at least every character plays different.
As far as the learning curve goes. People at my place had a hard time picking up Smash Bros. AllStars not so much.

I'd say they're equally as tense, but supers are much harder to pull off and therefore frustrating sometimes.
Really? Other than the tutorial stages every stage in the game has some gimmick that breaks up the fighting in some way or another, which isn't really good in competitive play. Granted SSB has these too but they're far less intrusive in most stages.
Cole and Evil Cole? Besides there are no clones in SSB4, every character that you'd think is a clone is just a way for people who preferred someone's incarnation from Melee or Brawl (e.g. Pit has his own original move set while Dark Pit has Pit's move set from Brawl).
I guess I should just say that it's harder to get good at PSASBR because of the Supers and such. In Smash Bros. my friends can reach my level in a few hours.

…you should be able to turn hazards off. But the level still changes, which is cool.

I don't really get why they put Cole and Evil Cole in the game. Would have been better as a Super or something. In Smash I usually play as Fox. So I liked having Falco and Wolf have a close moveset. But since AllStars doesn't have a large cast of characters it's nice to see that they're different and require different fighting styles. A skill part that, imo, Smash doesn't have.

Them your friends must be really clever, cause after that same amount of time my friends wanna play Mario Kart. Smash is simply too hard to understand.

My review for Penguins of Madagascar! No spoilers necessary!
The movie is an origin story as well as a sequel, and the Penguins face off Dave the Octopus! Until a cool group of Animals called "The North Wind" save the penguins and take them into their lab. For some reason, the North Wind almost seems like the bad guys of the film, simply because they are rivaling the penguins in everything.
The good: if you like cute, you'll love Private, Shortfuse (the seal)…and mort — yes, mort is in the film. In fact the whole premise of the film is based on "cute and cuddly."
The bad: Cliche villian, and the non-penguin characters weren't as fleshed out as they could have been.

Last words: Stay for the credits–you'll be disappointed if you dont!

Soooo… It's Bross after all. How do you feel about him scoring the next game?

I'm expecting some great soundtracks!

As much as I like his work on A4O and ItN I wish he'll rearrange some of the Bergeaud's tracks - some of them are essential to these planets.

"A great game needs a great soundtrack"
I found that quote somewhere

I agree 100% there. Visit the Uncharted school of soundtracks for details.

Ace Combat too!

I do believe something along the lines of that was mentioned.

Actually, they said are "not reusing stuff"…
