Thread: Really Random thread

Well yesterday (and the day before it) I played a Nintendo console!

Appropriately it was a Famicom system, and the first and third mario games. I sucked REALLY bad at the games, and only made it past the first worlds in each game before I decided to try the N64 emulator and the Wii. We played that iconic brawl game on the N64, and all the buttons were mapped in the wrong places on my PS2 controller (playing against reasonably experienced players too) so it took a long time before I tracked down the most OP character and figured out more than 2 effective ways of actually landing a hit on the other players. I somehow managed to win a match and we moved on to a Wii so I could keep my winning streak going.

The Mario games on the Wii were pretty much the same as on the Famicom, but it took me way longer to get used to them. And finally we moved onto Rayman Origins, where I showed them what a real platformer is!

And I got around to finishing Assassin's Creed tonight, so that was fun… AND REALLY HARD! But seriously, I'm super excited for AC2. Can't wait for it to come out emoji

I know there is a "what game ya playin" thread, but this one is more convenient for me to post in right now

This was your first time? So you were a Nintendo virgin until now, don't hear that often. So… you're not going to return to the world of Nintendo after this? Cause next week I should be able to pick up my Wii U with Smash!

The N64 version was the absolute worst first impression I've ever had with a game. It was horrible, because I had no idea what any of my buttons did, and how I should use them. I eventually found R1 was grab, R2 did some type of attack, L2 did another type of attack. All attacks are useless against experienced players and all the face buttons were jump. And there was no time for any training, we just went straight into it. We had a lot of games to cover.

Anyway, all the systems are gone again and I'm stuck back in the land of PlayStation again. I've got to admit that those games were fun, but I'm certainty not about to invest in an NES (Because Famicoms are lame) or a Wii U or anything in between, because I have to get myself into the whole PS4 scene by the end of Christmas.

Hmm.. NES and SNES are great for 2D platformers. However most of the good ones have a high pricetag. N64 is this akwards leap from 2D to 3D, yet still has a great library of games. I think a GameCube would suit you well. Those games are fairly cheap compared to the other systems and some of my favorite games released on it.

And the list goes on…

I'll probably wait until I'm a bit older and all modern games have turned into Batman or something, before reliving the days I never lived.

Under another note: Nintendo's obedience towards the lives system seems really strange and dated. They need to let it go.

Wow. Look who drew some Penguins of Madagascar: http://instagram.com/p/v7hvMAoZQ6/

Can you tell?

Well, she said they both wete recording for Insomniac Games (and SO is finished) and since they both have stable roles in the series (Ali does various female voices, including Talwyn, computer voice and Ms. Zurkon while Jess Harnell is the Plumber and the Smuggler), so I'd say I can tell.

I still doubt that

FYUZE 2 U GUYS!

sorry…

I still doubt that

Why? What else could they be recording for then? There is no other Insomniac game in development right now.

…that we know of?

…that we know of?

It's just that the both teams are working on R&C right now, and the game is still far from complete, recording for something else right now wouldn't make sense.
