Thread: Pretty Random Movie Thread

About that list, yes I also think it's not final. Maybe there are some other distributors that were yet to be listed (hope those are the distributors in the whole Europe, Asia, Australia, and NZ!)

By the way, is it confirmes for Russia? emoji

Yes, CIS (former USSR countries) is on the list.

http://instagram.com/p/s0bAJrIZfx/ I just realized that when he says "last thumbnail storyboard," it says "end" at the bottom. Hope that only means end of scene, not end of movie!

Well, it appears that the Ratchet and Clank movie is REALLY finished with it's production! http://instagram.com/p/wzm4U5oZZx/
Now all we need is an official word from CMG!

Even if director has nothing left to do it doesn't mean the movie's production is over. They still might have a lot of rendering to do, sound mixing etc.

Have they confirmed which render tool they're using?

I don't think so.

For once, I agree with Darkstar. Kevmunroe posted 2 weeks ago: that's a wrap on animation. Production was not finalized yet, but soon. He actually says #ThatsAWrapOnProduction, which means that soon, CMG could update their website.

Where are you PS Magazine article?

Just read something interresting on Facebook. I'm gonna assume you guys probably knew already, but better save than sorry. IG doesn't like us calling the movie/game a 'reboot'. It's not a reboot and shouldn't be called that way. It's a re-imagining. Just that. No reboot.

Aka. Everything (except the first game I assume) will stay canon.

I still believe this movie is in it's own sort of canon.

Judging by the trailer, the movie is going to include species like the Fongoids and the Hoolefoids Tharpods. These were species that did not appear until Ratchet travelled to the Polaris Galaxy, and, as stated in ToD, Ratchet hadn't heard of the Polaris Galaxy. Therefore, the movie will affect canon outside of just the first game, therefore, it would still be a "reboot" by definition, even if they prefer to call it a "reimagining" instead…

There were no Hoolefoids in the trailer… I think you meant the Tharpods. Also, these species are probably there because, well, borrowing already fitting designs from the PS3 games is much easier than redesigning creatures from the old series so that they look good in the movie. It's a low-budget movie, so it saves a lot of effort.
