Thread: Post the order of Ratchet and Clank games you've played

Well, the title says it all. I'll start:

4: RaC DL, 2008
Got a Ps3 on 2009…
5: RaC Acit (Biggest mistake ever!!! "Clank's been captured?!?" "Nefarious returns?!?" "Qwark just spoiled TOD for me!!!"emoji

Really? You got QFB before TOD? Was that confusing at first?

Really? You got QFB before TOD? Was that confusing at first?

I didn't know about ToD until I picked up QfB.
And it wasn't weird or confusing at all, the game does a nice job of telling you what happened beforehand.

When I was about 6 years I had my first encounter with the series. I played R&C(1) and Remojil at a cousin of mine whose dad brought the games from Spain (the games appeared really late in my country).
I had my own PS2, and I borrowed his games… but I wanted to have my own, but the only thing I had was a demo disk with various games including R&C. It had only the Metropolis and Blackwater City levels on it… and I remember getting pretty obsessed with them (I knew every corner of the map and all the glitches).
I can't explain why, but somehow there was a break with no contact between me and the series for some years.
Then, one day, my father gives me a PSP and the game 1. R&C:SM. After finishing it, I realized that my thirst for the franchise was brought back to life…. and so I started to collect and play:
2. R&C:2 (what?, another lombax?, how did Angela hide her ears and head tail/hair under that disguise?)
3. R&C:3 (I enjoyed playing on the multiplayer mode with my brother)
4. R&C (it's finally mine!!!)
5. Remojil (fun, but it had a different vibe in comparison with the rest of the franchise)
6. SaC (didn't like it at all…; finished it only once)
7. R&C:QfB & 8. R&C:ToD (I got them at the same time along with my PS3, but due to that starting bug in ToD and my impatience I played QfB first…emoji
9. R&C:ACIT (loved it, best looking game of the series (for now); sadly I couldn't get all the trophies due to a bug - I finished all the space missions but the game wouldn't recognize it and the fact that I already got all the R.Y.N.O. parts…emoji
10. R&C:A4O (great game to play with family and friends… but not a great R&C game)
11. R&C:ItN (or N in the Europe version) (it brought the series back on the line, I liked it, though too short)
12. R&C:FFA (or Q-Force)(nehh… I knew it was bad, but I got it for the sake of the series)

emoji R: Dl became Remojil

1. Ratchet & Clank 3 - 2006 (Notable for being the second console game I ever played, after Rayman 3. I would play this game more than any other game I have ever played)
2. Ratchet & Clank 2 - 2007 (Notable for being the first game that was purchased specifically for me. I wrote my name on it and everything)
3. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (PS2) - 2007 (I thought this was the "long lost" original game… those days before (my exposure to) the internet were harsh)
4. Ratchet & Clank - 2008
5. Ratchet: Gladiator - 2008
6. Secret Agent Clank (PSP) - 2008 (First time I brought a system for a single game. Totally worth it!)
7. Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction - 2009 (I didn't even know this existed. So it came as quite a shock. I played this game for the majority of the entire year)
8. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters (PSP) - 2009
9. Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty - 2009
10. Secret Agent Clank (PS2) - 2009
11. Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time - 2009 (First game I had to wait for a release for… the teasers were very generous)
12. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One - 2011
13. Ratchet & Clank: Qforce - 2012
14. Ratchet & Clank: Nexus - 2013

Games and thoughts at the time…

2011:

1. Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty - Before: I'm bored, I guess I'll boot up that crappy "cartoonnetwork-ish" game that was in a bundle with my PS3… After: This is freakin' awesome, I want more!

2. Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters - Weapon vendors? Armors? Titanum bolts? PLANET TRAVELING!? Oh man, this is awesome! And I don't actually skip the cutscenes… The robot and the green guy (so THIS is Captain Qwark… Thought it was that girl from the PS3 game, oh well) are great. The voice actors are really good at their job…

3. Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction - A full-lenght PS3 adventure! Now we're talking!

4. Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time - Oh man, this just keeps getting better!

5. PlayStaion Move Heroes - This game stinks! And where can I switch the language to English? That dub is awful!

6. Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One - That was pretty fun, especially when I can play with someone. What are these people getting mad about?

7. Secret Agent Clank - Clank's fun, Qwark's Qwark, but can't I skip the Ratchet sections?

Gets a PS2 for Christmas to play the classics

8. Ratchet & Clank - Ehh… It'll pass.

2012:

Gets pissed over Trilogy HD announcement

9. Ratchet & Clank Trilogy - Heck, what did I dislike in the first one? It's great! So much platforming… I guess I needed a little break from the series. The other two though… Are these really the most beloved ones? What for?

10. Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault - Why did you have to make this game IG? It does not offer anything. Even the multiplayer, as fun as it is, is really limited… And so much is copy-pasted from A4O! At least I guessed the villain emoji

2013:

11. PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale - Fun. The characters stay true to their original selves.

12. Ratchet & Clank: Deadlocked (PS3) - What a terrible port! I don't want to play this anymore… It doesn't look like I'm missing that much anyway.

12. Ratchet & Clank: Into the Nexus - Insomniacs, you've won my trust back. 2015 - I am ready for you.

I went into the first R&C game I ever played thinkingit would suck as well. I really didn't like the whole controller layout (as in the physical controller just looked stupid to me), and just generally didn't like the sound of the whole game. But my tone quickly changed when I got my hands on the game.

It wouldn't be until 2009 that I would actively play a game that wasn't of the Rayman or Ratchet & Clank series, so hat is the year I consider I started truly gaming.

Who didn't think their first R&C would suck?
The character designs aren't exactly pleasing…

Yea, I originally skipped the cinematics when I started playing, but as I got further into the game (R&C3) I started to care about what was happening, and in Challenge mode I would learn how the game actually started emoji

I was so backwards, I effectively played the second part of R&C3 and worked my way back to the first game from there!

To be fair, the first half of UYA is pretty boring. Although that's probably the case for every R&C game.

That is pretty true, but since I got addicted to R&C3 there has never been a dull moment. I really enjoyed every game I played, until it came to playing the PS3 remasters. Then it was pretty tiring…

EDIT:

13: RaC 1,2,3,4 HD ps3, 2014 (Wow. Better HD than ACIT!)

emoji

Kubak, what about RaC 2 and 3? You never played them on a ps2? You got into the series late!

Kubak may be the one of the latest adopters to the series on the forums!?
