Thread: Post-Movie Discussion (SPOILERS)

I just realized something. Throughout the course of the movie, Ratchet doesn't kill…anything! Clank only kills one guy–Victor–and even though Ratchet defeats Nefarious, he doesn't technically kill him. Qwark, Cora, and Brax all have higher kill points than Ratchet and Clank.

But, he might've killed that old man who got ejected from his seat emoji. Even though he survived the ejection, he landed on a field of poisonous ivies, which could probably kill him! Oh, and the Zurkons? He didn't kill any of them? Well, guess Brax had the highest kill count. He killed a swarm of Zurkons on his own! And Neffie, well Ratchet probably killed his organic body, but Neffie survived as a robot, so… nah. But wait! Those warbots that invaded Aleero city! He threw them to the capital ship, so I guess he killed a lot of robots that day.

Poison Ivy doesn't kill you, it just itches a lot. But good point: Ratchet did throw those warbots at the ship. But when it comes to shooting action, Ratchet doesn't kill anyone.

We don't know about Veldin's poison ivy, though emoji. So, I think Ratchet might had one of the highest kill rate. 300 warbots thrown into a capital ship with, let's say at least 20 crews. If we assume none of them survived, then that's a lot of bots killed in one battle! Although I agree that his kill count is zero in his missions as a Ranger.

"You should've have seen the look on Drek's face when I turned him into a sheep–that fool actually thought he was in charge this whole time!" - Nefarious breaking the 4th wall.

Why is that considered 4th wall breaking?

Let's the audience know that Drek was the main villain in the 1st game.

*tick tock tick tock*. Oh, yeah! Now I get it.

I am still a little confused. Nefarious said that to Ratchet but with the "whole time" is he reffering to the years since 2002 and all the games later or since the beginning of the re-imagined story?
I actually thought that Nefarious just said that to Ratchet because he played Drek in order to achieve his personal goals.

The way Animovie sees it, is that it was a simple nod towards the original. emoji

And probably TJ fixman's way of saying "this is how it was supposed to go–until Rainmaker took my idea and shredded it!" I know TJ fixman said Drek was supposed to be "#evil" but after he sent his script to kevin munroe, they changed it significantly.

I think I prefer the Nefatious plot. Although it may have seemed a little too abrupt for n00by viewers. Actually, I think this entire movie went a bit fast for the untrained eye. Oh well. Archive the project, lessons learned for Sly Cooper ^^

I also like the Nefarious plot. And the movie did felt a little short at the start but after the first Deplanetizer assault I actually reliazed it was not. The only problem with this story is Ratchet wanting only to be a hero. I would prefer him with a little more teenage personality, like wanting to be a hero in the middle of the story.

I just hate the fact that we were never told about the "edited" script until now. Apparently, TJ's script was radically different and explored different aspects seen in the games. I wish I could read TJ's draft.
