So, what is Ratchet Galaxy ?
As we promised in our latest news, a surprise was making its way today for all you
We are glad to make a new design available for the website, entirely created with the R&C Quest For Booty spirit in our minds.
You can change back and forth between our two designs on the Design Switch page in the Community category.
Just as the Dark Blue design, the Quest For Booty design has been conceived with the highest resolution in mind, but also the smaller ones. However, to fully enjoy it, a 1920x1200 screen resolution is prefered.
For those of you who would like to download the wallpaper for their personal use, here is a 1920x1200 version. More resolutions will be soon proposed for download.
>> Download the QFB design's wallpaper (full HD)
We hope you enjoy the new design, and expect to read your opinions !

Insomniac Games recently answered several questions in a few interviews which were pretty interesting.
Ratchet and Clank could have never existed
G4tv.com got the opportunity to ask Ted Price some questions at DICE, a few weeks ago.
The most interesting part concerns the creation of the Ratchet and Clank franchise, and how the famous interstellar duo could have never existed.
Indeed, as some of you may know, when Insomniac had finished with Spyro 3, they decided to move to the PlayStation 2 with a new franchise. They came with the idea of a new adventure/action game, involving a girl in Mayan-like environments ; the project was named "Girl with a stick". Half-way through the production period, Ted realized the team was not really motivated for such a project, and after several discussions with Sony, came to understand it was time for a change. The project was cancelled, and Brian Hastings brought a new concept and new ideas. A furry guy with a little robot on his side, exploring the galaxy with amazing weapons and gadgets.
Ratchet and Clank were born, but one can always wonder "what if...". Yes, what if ? Just try to imagine our gamers' world today without them... *sigh*.

A Crack In Time post-mortem
When G4tv.com (again !) interviews Brian Allgeier and T.J Fixman about their satisfactions and regrets about R&C Future ACIT, it gives us a great lot of informations and anecdotes about one of the best games of 2009... and some teasing about what could be the next game in the franchise.
An absolute must-read for the fans

Ratchet and Clank Collection ?
God of War got its own, why would Ratchet and Clank not have the same kind of consideration from Sony, especially when you know how many millions of games sold this franchise represents ?
In all cases, Insomniac sure is interested by such a project, and would be glad to obtain a proposal from SCEA. However, with several projects being worked at the same time, the californian studio does not have enough time and ressources to develop it, and that is why a R&C Collection would be taken in charge by an other studio.
Come on Sony, you know it worth it !
And that is all for today, fellow lombaxes... but please come back tomorrow for a little website-related surprise
A few updates have been brought on the site on the beginning of this month, and a contest has been started by Dre Rossi and Ratchetandclankdude.

The OST Cover Arts
Some of you might have noticed a few days ago that the CD covers in the Music Downloads section have changed a bit, so they have a more "official" look (you'll find the game logo, the IG and Sony logos, the composer of the OST, a link to RG...).
Of course, I couldn't just change the cover image on the music download page. So I changed the cover art on the MP3 and FLAC files, create the zip folder all over again and upload them on our servers, which took a lot of time.
Hopefully for you, I won't make you download again more than 640 files on your computers just to change their cover arts. The thing I advise you to do is to install MP3tag, a free software, which will allow you to delete the old cover arts and replace them with the new ones (which you can reduce to a 500x500 format)
To download these covers on your computers, do a right-click on the miniatures, then select on "Save target as" :
Hey there everyone
There's a bunch of things that came these last few days, and we're ready to share them!
Ratchet & Clank : Size Matters Soundtrack
Our Media-Source, Barnaby, is actually ripping all the Ratchet & Clank games' soundtrack to improve its quality, and has done Ratchet & Clank and Ratchet & Clank : Going Commando so far. Now, the Ratchet & Clank : Size Matters soundtrack is now available in lossless (.FLAC) and in MP3!
Huge thanks to him!
New Cutscenes of Ratchet & Clank : Going Commando
Our second Media-Source, Malier313, has sent us 22 cutscenes of Ratchet & Clank : Going Commando!
If you haven't done it already, you'll have to download and install the ffdshow codec pack, on this link (click on any link to download the zip). You will then be able to read those videos with your usual Media Player.
And don't forget to thank him too
