Thread: The PS2 port of Size Matters

Deleted user

I already know this game isn't as great as the PSP version and it's one of the most mediocre Ratchet and Clank titles so far. So, I'm just curious to know what are the Pros and Cons in the PS2 version of Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters?

Discuss about your thoughts and opinions about the PS2 port here.

Well,in my opinion, here are some pros and cons:

Pros:

Fun gameplay
worth playing two times
lots of things to do and collect

Cons:
very short game
graphics aren't good
camera gets messed up

Well,it's all I can get because I don't have a PSP to play the PSP version of Size Matters. emoji

I got this one a few weeks ago, after so long (the PS2 port is rare here) and well….

I'm glad the loading times aren't as long as the PS2 port for SAC but yeah, this game is alright but man, some of the animation for Ratchet creeps me out in the cutscenes, and both he and Clank act strange and a little out of character…

But I do find some things fun, I actually rather like the Skyboarding challenges, for some reason emoji

But seriously, this game is short.I got the PS2 port on Tuesday and then beat the game the next day.But for a game like A Crack in Time,it would take me almost a week or maybe even a month to beat that game 100%.

But anyway, yes,I also did find the Skyboarding challenges to be fun,but I also found the Clank Challenges to be very fun as well. emoji

Yeah, I thought some of the scenes felt really strange for a Ratchet game. In fact there were some really strange moments in that game in particular.

But yeah, the only reason why I haven't purchased this game for the PS2 yet is because of the visuals being all pixelated and blown up with it's bad camera issues. Any products that was produced in rushed condition is something that I wouldn't get. You cannot take a PSP game and half-a** the game to port it into a bigger console right away.

I think the only thing that's good about the PS2 port is the voice work and that's it. Call me harsh, but that is my opinion about the PS2 version of Size Matter emoji

I'm not too bothered of what the port is like, as I haven't got a PSP and haven't played the original game, so I am going to buy it regardless emoji

the control is easier (sort of) for instance camera movement goes to the right stick and strafing goes to the shoulder buttons, but movement is really clumsy.
Also, they CUT A SCENE OUT, and for no apparent reason. The scene where Ratchet and Clank leave planet Challax and they meet Qwark again who claims to have something important to say but they don't listen… why did they cut it out? emoji emoji emoji emoji emoji emoji

yes i think u should get it, i have it for ps2 and the only problem i really had was it having a weird story but yeah if u really like the series then get it. if u can u might want to borrow it from a friend or something.

If you're a big fan, then I say get it emoji I only got it, so that I can have all the R&C games… I admit it's my least favourite, but it's still playable.

OK, then I will buy this game emoji

Ratchet and clank size matters in PS2 is surely not that good as the PSP version.
Pros:

The Screen is bigger emoji
and uuuuuuuh… thats it i think.

Cons:

I dont know if its the same in the PSP version but the Frames per second rate is a lot smaller than in the other games, it felt like Ratchet and clank 3 is a other kind of game as i stopped playin SM

The sound-effects are horrible! emoji

ETC…

I only play size matters if i have nothing better to do.

I have the PSP version but I'm wanting the PS2 just because XD The story was strange to me though

Well my RaC : SM broke and I got a new one today for my birthday, bad news it is corrupted and I forgot about everything! But, I like Ratchet's Dreamworld!!! Lady Qwark's with chainsaws! Giant Drek, Dr. Nefarious, Technomites, and more! I'm now creeped out! emojiemojiemojiemojiemoji

Plus those pointy faced bat-like thingies!

Geinea Lombax: Hey guys sorry I disappear for a while. The laptop is pretty much dead and useless since it won't charge. I'm using our PS3 to write this at the moment (and its slow and obnoxious to write here). Anyway about Sizes Matters…Yes I have the PS2 version of it. It's not bad in my opinion just different. So yeah I like the wired little game. I got it at Wal-Mart one day while snooping around. Me and my sister found it in the game area and show it to our mom in excitement. To our delight, she bought it on that same day. So now it's part of our Ratchet and Clank collection. When I get a PSP this christmas, I'll get the PSP version along with the PSP version of SAC. I'll give it a five outta ten.

By the way how are Ratchet and Clank out of character? I'm trying to figure that out lately since a few people said that.
