Thread: Strangest Moments in Size Matters

Deleted user

I may have not played this game yet, but I find that there were a lot of awkward and strange moments that appeared during the cinematics in Size Matters.

So for those who have played the game or were spoiled by cutscenes, did any of you guys found moments in the visuals, dialogue or even gameplay that felt surreal, strange and out of the picture for this Ratchet and Clank game?

The only strange moments in that game were…

The Ratchet Dreamland Level and The inside of Clank Level.

I must say that ratchet's dreamland is really odd

I would agree that the dreamland sequence was pretty strange overall too.

Also, the scene where Ratchet had a flashback of him lying on the hospital bed with the two robot doctors operating on him was something I wouldn't expect to see in a Ratchet game. emoji

not only I found that bit strange but the part where DR. Qwark and Nurse Skrunch that bit seem to creep me out sometimes emoji

It did had that eerie vibe to look at when that scene appeared, but I was actually laughing at that part just because of Ratchet's priceless face when he saw Qwark with a chainsaw. emoji

But seriously, that whole opertaion scenes, either with Qwark or those robotic doctors, felt like something in an Horror like ER film. emoji

emoji so true I remember ratchet's face with the chainsaw bit too I also thought that the part where klunk can take off his take and spin it like a ball is funny too.

Oh right! In Ratchet's dream. I thought it was just an evil Clank that appeared rather than Clunk himself since we saw Ratchet defeated Clunk in Up Your Arsenal before Size Matters was out. But, I don't think that is the case when…

We see Clunk appear again in Secret Agent Clank, who was also the one that brainwashed Ratchet to be evil and send him to prison.

But yeah… It seemed like High Impact wanted to put some dark surreal element into the game. Which there is nothing wrong with that, but how they presented it felt a little too awkward.

Frankly, I think the whole plot was strange:

microscopic guy wants intellegence, so creates army of clone Ratchet's. >sarcastically> "oh no a microscopic guy is going to more intellegent by kidnapping some intellegent people and then (presumably) setting them free again! I feel soooo threatened! what ever is going to become of this? emoji

Strange moments? I think the whole game was strange XD (well not all) but the cutscenes… just the way Ratchet is animated looked odd, and a lot of his dialog seemed out of place too. Sometimes Clank acted strange too, but Qwark was mostly 'himself' and others.

But the Dreamtime world is easily the strangest of all… emoji

True. Both Ratchet and Clank did felt out of place in some dialogue segments of the game, especially when Ratchet got angry with the whole cloning on him situation.

But seriously, hearing Ratchet talk while he's really angry is something I get a little too awkward with. He just sounds weird in my opinion.

There are indeed strange moments in RAC SM, like the dreaming part or even Daini Moon. I have the German version and i have no idea how to play the English one, but in German the voice was asynchronism.

(If asynchro…thingy was wrong spelled or something, its because I'm Swiss.) emoji

Well, I was actually a bit uncomfortable too see my favourite gaming character on a hospital bed, being experimented on. emoji

But overall, the strangest part for me was Ratchet during dreamtime. emoji

Are you telling us you've never had a dream like that? (sarcasm) emoji

Not to ruin the sarcasm or anything, but I have. :3
