Thread: Deadlocked HD

I know there is already a thread for the HD collection, but I figured that this would be more appropriate here, as it is separate from the HD collection. The question is, since just a couple of months before the release of FFA when this was officially announced, has anyone heard as to when they plan to release the HD version of Ratchet: Deadlocked? And for those who don't remember the announcement, it was during Insomniac Games little conference when they announced the limited edition screen prints and showed off a little of FFA before it's final release date was announced and they told a little history as to how Ratchet & Clank came about. I don't remember where I saw it, if it was on youtube or elsewhere, but there was a video they did of it.

They were pushing for a 2012 release, but more recently James Stevenson estimated it would come out about February 13th

I think it's great news, because the more time it spends in development the better.

So true, maybe they'll have a few additional features, kind of like how Ratchet & Clank Up Your Arsenal HD had a few extra skins in the North American release that were originally only in the European release. On the downside, that means that I am now going to have to save my money for 2 games that come out that month, lol.

The Santa and Sumo Ratchet skins you mean? Those were only in the Japanese version.

In the Ratchet & Clank HD Collection, in the North American version, Ratchet & Clank 3 had the Sumo Ratchet, Ninja Ratchet, and I think another skin as well, that weren't originally featured in the North American version of the game, just in either the Japanese version or the European version. Anyway, maybe we will get something like that again in Ratchet: Deadlocked HD, though a ninja skin wouldn't be necessary as the original already included a samurai skin after so many skill points.

I've heard this is going to be a PSN release, but has anyone heard otherwise? I'd much rather a disc release but it's no biggie

Well if it's gonna come out on disc I'll wait till it does. If not I'll just download it, cos I've bought PSN releases before and they are worth it.

Sorry, but it's going to be PSN only (It was confirmed).

Yea, those skins were exclusively for the Japanese version.

Originally yes, but according to the Wiki page, here http://ratchet.wikia.com/wiki/Ratchet_%26_Clank:_Up_Your_Arsenal#Appearances, certain skins are either for the original Japanese version of the game that came out back in 2004 or in the HD trilogy/collection. That and the fact that I own a copy of the US version both the original PS2 version which didn't have those skins and the HD version which I unlocked those skins first when I had enough bolts, which means that the HD version either has more titanium bolts than the original so you can get more skins, or you can only unlock so many skins and that's it.

They probably made some skins cheaper or something, I don't know. It's simple. The skins were in the Japanese version on the PS2, and have been added to the Trilogy/collections, well most of them anyway.

It would be much easier to make the required number of bolts to buy them lower, than adding more titanium bolts in the game. I highly doubt they added more bolts into the game.

Yeah, I thought so too.
Oh well, another reason to hook up my PS2 againemoji

That's alright for them as has the option, but I don't own a PS2 so I'll be buying this when it comes out
