Also, Heather, how's that Deliver Us The Moon coming through?
(My best guess is that I've just said something terribly indecent)

Indecent, why's that?

It's going very well actually! It now has a publisher: Starbreeze. Which you might recognize from Payday and Dead By Daylight. Working with them has made developing much smoother.emoji

You know, I had this odd feeling that it was cancelled.
Nice to see it wasn't!

last week i finnaly beat the original ratchet and clank , two times in a row in fact , now some of you might not think very much of that , but considering how hard the original was it was very satisfying for me to finnaly beat it.emojiemoji

Question.

Do you people around here use Discord?

Yes, I use it to chat with Hitler Rants Parodies fans and the channel's owner himself. Wanna make an RG channel on Discord?

By the way, the undersea cable network used by my internet provider was broken. So here I am, stuck at around 5-30 kB/s

Especially the final boss at the last stage. Now that took me some time to defeat because of limited life. Although, the game doesn't have standard strafing, the Jetpack strafing can prove extremely useful at times once you can master it.

Also using the tesla claw is pretty useful as well.

Yea, I'm pretty sure beaking it for the first time is always a pretty great accomplishment for most people. The Drek fight can really get people stuck.

But just to make you feel inferior, here is somebody beating the finale using nothing but the wrench: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CHtNZdK0hJk

Drek and Tachyon are probably the most satisfying bosses to deafeat in any Ratchet & Clank game, for me.

The two PSP titles have pretty hard final fights too, but I don't think they were quite as satisfying to overcome as the ones from R&C1 and R&C:ToD… for me at least.

How did they break the cable? Maybe they tried sending too much data? This was a bad joke.

Also, on a random note, I was just reading your post in my head and realised I don't know how to pronounce "Rant" in my own accent. It's a strange feeling, that after seeing way too much American and British media, that I can get confused about my own accent. I have the same conundrum with pronouncing "Graph". I decided to (as a joke) pronounce "graph" like "grayfe" A combo of "grAHph" and "grEHph". It really trips people out someimes, so I usually just try to say "chart" instead.

Well, welcome to Southeast Asia. The only information I got so far was just that "the cable network suffered damage" and now we have to survive with terribly slow internet and spend our mobile data if we want faster internet. Luckily, we have a mobile modem, so if we need to do something urgent in the day (when the speed is slowest), we can use it. At night, it's quite faster.

Oh, welcome back, Ruler!

Well the problem with mobile data are those data caps… at least that's the problems we have. But I can't really talk about problems, you're the ones with the super-slow internet. Hopefully it gets fixed soon.

EDIT: Also, I hope to be able to stick around a little while this time. Its a bit strange when every time I post here I've been gone for ages.

Well yeah, hopefully. It's been better compared to the day when the cable network suddenly got damaged. I could barely hit 7 kBps that time.

Thg hardest for me were Nefarious in R&C3 and the Protopet. Those sucked up sooo much ammo! I remember losing my health and killing the Protopet at almost the same time. So the final cutscene plays, but afterwards the game returns to my death anyway. Live, die, repeat…

I was tempted to mention Nefarious, because he can be pretty bad if you're not prepared.

But the Protopet? I'm still trying to figure out what people are doing to have such drastically different experiences in that fight. I am apart of the group of people that battle the monster, and it feels like we just skipped it every single time. In fact one day I fought the Protopet using only the weakest weapons I had, just to see how much fun it is when I actually sit around in the arena for a little while to fight the monster. He has probably he most attacks out of any boss in any Ratchet & Clank game. I had no idea. It was pretty cool to see all of his moves, and it's a shame the fight wasn't more well balanced.

I think a good solution would be to make the Protopet deal less damage to the player and/or have health crates spawn in the arena sometimes. But also for the creature to be able to take a lot more damage, and have ammo spawn more often for those without the super-good weapons.

I guess that's the thing, some people get to this final battle without particularly good weapons, because there aren't many proper bosses before the Potopet to test your arsenal.

Drek was hard.
The protopet was easy–I never even break down to the last floor anymore!
Nefarious was hard.
Vox was easy.
Tachyon was haaaaaard.
Nefarious was hard in ACIT, but Alister was easy.
Mr. Dinkles is impossible to kill without a RYNO 6
Zurgo is easy.
Mr. Eye…you know what? I don't even play ITN enough to know…
Nefarious is hard, but if you collect all the gold bolts, you get invulnerability so…kinda easy.

I agree with all of These

Nefarious was hard in ACIT, but Alister was easy.

What about the real final boss fight? Lord Vorselon! The power of Nefarious combined with the health of Azimuth.

Mr. Eye…you know what? I don't even play ITN enough to know…

Wait, what? What happened? Did you never complete this game?!

Nefarious is hard, but if you collect all the gold bolts, you get invulnerability so…kinda easy.

That's cheating, and, like using the RYNO, it doesn't count at all.
