Just saw Last Jedi. But don't worry. My lips are tightly sealed.

Did you see Iden's second campaign?

It was quite a let down if you ask me...

Not yet! But Gavankar posted some awesome artworks, so I look forward to it. And I will not open that spoiler just yet. ;)

Just saw the Last Jedi and...

...damn, that was corny! Leia flying all "mary poppins-style," Luke making a fool out of Rey, Yoda--I mean WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT?!? Finn's almost-death blocked by Rose, who kissed him and then...died? But the worst part was the waste of Phasma and Snoke. Now there's no point asking "who's snoke?"
"who's Rey's parents?" Oh, they're no one? OK!
Whew! Now that the rant is over, I've gotta say I enjoyed that movie better than TFA. At least the gang's all back together, but the last part with Luke...like, what...? The movie confused me so much, to be honest.

Leia flying felt a bit strange to me too, at first. But it was actually quite beautiful.
The scene where Luke harasses Rey with some grass... that was the most hilarious thing I've ever seen in the history of Star Wars. Move aside, K2!
I don't think Rose is dead. Nobody is ever dead until they collapse and their eyes do that "thing". Like Iden... (I'm not crying. You're crying!).

Now for my rant! My one rant. Phasma! They write an amazing book and a great comic, they promote her once more and all but promise to make her a promonent character. When, finally, I heard her footsteps, I elbowed my friend (hard) and got all excited. Better late than never. And then she... dies? Again.
For a character whose controlling idea is 'survival' she sure dies a lot. In the movie at least. I mean, look at this:

Pay attention to this:

She ain't dead. But she sure was stupid. How did Phasma get so distracted by Rose? She's a veteran combat specialist. She kills giant sea monsters with a dagger! All of that, could have happened. But with the floor collapsing and she just laying there. That conflicts with her controlling idea. So yay. Lets, again, google "Captain Phasma Episode 9" everyday.

Another problem I have with the movie is that so much of it didn't have to happen. The part where Poe and his men turn on that new lady? That just padded the run time (every time one of those new gals die tragically,
I felt nothing because I didn't know anything about them).
The WHOLE part where Finn and Rose go to Canto Bight was so unnecessary, because that thief they found ended up betraying them. The cool part with the ski speeders was also worthless, because all they did was blow up and cause a retreat. I thought at least Finn would go out a hero, but NOOOO--Rose just had to crash into him and make the whole thing pointless!
So, for the unofficial death count: Snoke, Akbar, (Phasma?) and Luke. I wonder if he and yoda will return as force ghosts in the next movie?

I was actually fine with the whole movie, but that part where Rose crashed to save Finn and tell him that the right way to win the war is to safe those we love. What the hell? What's the point of saving people if the killer is still alive and ready to kill? That was a stupid quote, to be honest. Canto Bight, well, they should've cut some parts, but it was fine. Still, overall it was a great movie. And Luke, I think he eventually became one with the Force, but why? Why did it happen when the Resistance (or Rebels, whatever) needed him the most? He was their source of hope and morale to fight.

I guess we don't need the spoilers anymore since we've all seen the movie, but I did notice that the kid at the end does grab the broom using the force. Rian probably thought we wouldn't notice because it's a minor detail (like Rogue One's director as one of the resistance fighters).

I hear a lot of people about Canto Bight. Well, I'm a sucker for space-casino's. So I really enjoyed it. But I agree that it wasn't necessary to make it as long as they did. They could have given that time to Phasma, har har.

That last scene felt weird to me. It could have been right after the events of the movie or years later. They could have left it out for all I care. Unless, of course, it's very important for the next movie. The boy obviously used the Force, so that can mean all sorts of things.

What did you guys think of Luke? He was pretty dark. I understand why, but I can also see why some didn't enjoy seeing him like that.

Rian's making a whole new era of Star Wars trilogys. Perhaps that kid is part of this era. Of course that means: Star Wars is becoming a never-ended saga :/

In a sense it has always been a never ending story. Novels, games, comics and etc have been made continuously. T'is just that they've returned the series to the big screen again.

But I see your point. At sometime quality might become second to income. And maybe you're right and the kid is a hint at his new trilogy.

I'd trade the Solo film for another Inferno Squad novel. :o))

Yeah, the other spin-off films include: Kenobi, Boba Fett, Yoda, and...Jabba the Hutt. Like...why, Disney?
